PeerShelf Terms of Use

Last updated April 18, 2026

These Terms govern your access to PeerShelf, including shelves, inventory tools, borrowing workflows, listings, yard sales, imports, and paid membership features. If you create an account, access the service, or use a paid plan, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Notice, and the Community Guidelines & Safety Policy.

Eligibility and Accounts

You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use PeerShelf. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your sign-in credentials.

Acceptable Use

Provide accurate account and profile information and keep your credentials secure.

Only upload content, item details, photos, and listings that you have the right to share.

Do not use PeerShelf for unlawful activity, harassment, fraud, unsafe transactions, or infringement of another person’s rights.

Respect shelf visibility settings and do not scrape, copy, or reuse data from the service in a way that exceeds permitted access.

User Content and Visibility

You keep ownership of the content you submit, but you give PeerShelf a limited license to host, store, display, index, and process that content so the service can function. If you choose public visibility for shelves, listings, or yard sales, those details may be visible to other users or the public.

Transactions and Community Interactions

PeerShelf provides tools for borrowing, selling, donating, messaging, and inquiry handling, but it is not the seller, lender, bailee, or payment intermediary for your community transactions unless we clearly say otherwise in a separate agreement. Users are responsible for the legality, condition, pricing, pickup, return, and safety of items they exchange.

Paid Plans and Billing

Paid plans and billing are processed through Stripe or other payment providers we may add later.

You authorize us and our payment processor to charge the subscription or membership fees shown at checkout.

Taxes, card network fees, and refund rights depend on the plan, promotion, and applicable law.

You can manage or cancel recurring billing from your account when that option is available, or by contacting support.

Suspension, Deletion, and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created legal risk, or misused the service. You may delete your account from the account page or request deletion by emailing support@peershelf.com.

Disclaimers and Liability Limits

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PeerShelf is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, item accuracy, or transaction outcomes. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer law, including rights available in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or certain US states.

Regional Privacy and Consumer Rights

If you are in Europe, we handle personal data in line with the GDPR and other applicable data protection rules. If you are in the United States, additional privacy rights may apply depending on your state, including rights to know, correct, delete, and appeal. Details are in the Privacy Notice.
